New and innovative solutions since 1997

In the summer of 1997 there were two determined engineers who shared a vision of forming their own company concentrating on paper industry efficiency improvement. Juha Karvinen had a background in the paper industry vacuum system engineering and was an experienced entrepeneur. Kimmo Loippo had worked for a company that  manufactured paper machines and prior to that he was a working paper maker. They felt that by combining their experience and enthusiasm they would create something special. This dream was fulfilled when they joined forces to become Runtech Systems Oy's first two employees in the spring of 1998. We have grown steadily in the 13 years since then. There are now about 40 people sharing the same dream and working for Runtech. Our passion is to continue the growth.

Alot has happened in the years since 1997. Runtech holds several patents on our product inventions, with more pending. This is typical of our operation; we try to be innovative and invent our own solutions, products and technologies. Our first major breakthrough was the Air Curtain which was ready 1999. The second success Runtech experienced was with the  Air Blade which was first manufactured in 2002. Since then several other new products have been developed, patented and delivered throughout the world.  At Runtech Systems Oy we are well known for our tail threading products, doctoring products, vacuum system products, and energy saving products.

We developed our own composite material in 2000 and 3 years later we opened our first composite factory. In April 2010 we were happy to unveil our new state-of-art composite factory. In 2008 Runtech Systems Oy purchased 100 % of the shares in Ecopump Oy, and the two companies merged in September 2010. The purchase of Ecopump, with its factory in Kotka, added valuable knowledge and world class products like Ecopump Turbo to  the Runtech Systems product portfolio. We now have the capability to deliver complete solutions for projects designed to increase dryness, energy saving projects, as well as efficiency improvement projects (RunEco, RunDry and RunPro). And our development continues: the future will see more innovative answers to paper industry problems from Runtech Systems.

Runtech products are in operation in all continents. Our business originated with paper machine optimization and this is how it will continue. All our products and services are aimed at improving our customers'  operational efficiency – either by saving energy or by increasing productivity. Over 70 % of all RS products are exported to paper companies all around the world through our international sales team.
